Accessibility

"The building at Bethlehem is fully accessible with only one small lip into the building and then everything can be accessed on one level in the hall and the chapel itself.  There is a gentle ramp from the car park to the church, and although the car park has a gravel surface it is possible to park outside the ramp to the door to drop someone off.  Inside we have an accessible toilet.

We use a power-point screen during the service, but we have hard copy books available and can produce large print hard copies if needed.  We also have a hearing loop in the chapel itself.

We have a baby changing station along with changing equipment (excluding nappies), potties, toilet seats and toddler step.  We can provide you with a bag of quiet toys for your child to borrow during the service if it would help, either for under 12 months or for toddlers - please ask on arrival.

We try to be autism-friendly at the chapel and have taken steps to achieve this, however if there is anything else we can do to help you enjoy your visit to us, please let us know.  We don't have fluorescent lights to cause any difficulty.  We would suggest you bring with you noise reducing or noise cancelling headphones if you use them as the music can be quiet loud when it is played and we use microphones when people are speaking.  You are welcome to see the chapel building before coming to a service to help you get used to the place - give us a ring if you would like that.  We can also sit you by people who will be able to help you through the service explaining what happens at each point.

We give a warm welcome to everyone and if we can do anything to make your visit to us easier, please let us know. "

Brief description

"Bethlehem Baptist Chapel in Pembrokeshire is a country chapel with a very warm welcome for everyone. Its members strive to encourage the church as ‘a family’ to grow and learn together. It has a long history of being actively involved in the communities of Poyston Cross and Crundale near Haverfordwest.

Bethlehem is an evangelical Baptist church belonging to the Baptist Union of Wales. The services always include pragmatic and lively worship with modern choruses and traditional hymns. We believe in having an active faith in our Lord Jesus, and want to fill our chapel with people who want to worship him or find out more.

Our Minister the Rev. Jenny Gough took on the Ministry of our Chapel in January 2014 and preaches most Sundays. She and her family are actively involved in guiding the church in growing both spiritually and in numbers.

If you want to attend a church in Haverfordwest that seeks to put God first, and offers genuine fellowship, then try Bethlehem Chapel on the Cardigan Road. Please see the Find Us page for directions.

We meet every Sunday morning at 10:45am.  Our diary page confirms the service days, but you can phone 01437 731448 for further clarification. COME AND JOIN US! "
